Jump to RecipeBefore surgery, breakfast for me was often a bowl of sugary cereal or a piece of toast that kept me full for—oh, maybe 30 minutes? Post-op, I needed something that actually worked for my body. Enter the cottage cheese and berry power bowl: simple, high in protein, and packed with flavor. It’s the kind of breakfast that keeps me going without making me feel stuffed. Plus, it’s ridiculously easy to throw together, which is a must when life gets busy.
Adjusting to life after bariatric surgery hasn’t always been easy. In the beginning, I had to rethink my relationship with food completely. Gone were the days of mindlessly eating whatever was convenient. Now, every meal had to count—especially when it came to protein. At first, it was overwhelming, but I quickly realized that simple, high-protein meals were the key to success. I wanted food that tasted good, made me feel good, and didn’t require hours in the kitchen.

As I’ve continued my journey, I’ve learned that fueling my body properly makes all the difference in how I feel throughout the day. I have more energy, I can move more easily, and best of all—I’m actually enjoying the process. This isn’t about restriction; it’s about making better choices that support my new lifestyle. And honestly? It’s been fun discovering meals that I genuinely love.

- Mixed Berries: Natural sweetness, fiber, and antioxidants to support overall health and digestion.
- Almonds or Walnuts: Healthy fats to keep you satisfied longer and add some crunch.
Protein Powder (Optional): If you’re struggling to hit your daily protein goal, a half scoop mixed in makes a big difference.
